BOYS
& GIRLS CLUBS OF GREATER PORTLAND What is a Steak & Burger Dinner? A fund raising event where contributors meet and interact with some of the young people they are helping through their support of Boys & Girls Clubs. Adults buy tickets and eat hamburgers. Members attend free of charge and dine on steak. The Steak & Burger Dinner is a nationally developed and proven event in Boys & Girls Clubs across the country, introduced here in 1991. At many clubs (ours included), an annual occasion eagerly anticipated by Club members, community leaders, and Club volunteers. The event is a cook-out style outing for all ages in a wonderful summer setting. Plans call for special activities, roving entertainment and a guest speaker. Guest Speaker We are thrilled that our special guest speaker will be Billy Swift, a South Portland native and former Major League pitcher, past Olympian, and proud alumnus of our Clubs. Boys & Girls Club directors, corporators, alumni, corporate and community supporters, and anyone with an interest in the Boys & Girls Clubs and its members. When? Wednesday, August 11, 2004 - 5:00-7:30 P.M. Where? Southern Maine Community College - athletic field and gymnasium. Table Sponsorships & Tickets Table sponsorship are available at $400 (Tables seat 5-6 table sponsor guests and up to 3 Club members). Individual tickets are available at $50 per person.
