Success Stories
Ashley has been a member for 10 years at the South Portland Clubhouse. During her membership years, she has participated in almost every program that Boys & Girls Clubs have to offer. She has been President of both the Torch Club and Keystone Club, and has participated in SMART Girls, Sip ‘n Sew, Creative Ladies, and many more activities.
Ashley, like many members, considers the Club her home. The Club is the place she feels comfortable and able to be herself. She enjoys being around the staff, volunteering at the Club and being a role model for younger members.
This year Ashley is a junior at South Portland High School and is preparing for the next step in her life – attending college. She continues to make her dream of going to college a reality.
Nymouch is nine years old and has been attending the Club since she was six. Her sister and brother attend as well, and she has another sister waiting to join at just four years old.
Nymouch always helps, is respectful, honest and one of Riverton’s best readers.
In her spare time, she helps and reads with the younger children. She is a quiet child and is considerate of others. Nymouch will be successful when she grows up because she has proven to be very driven.
