Local artist and writer Charlotte Spencer
illustrated and authored a series of children's stories about island
life in Casco Bay. We are pleased to re-introduce them! |

Charlotte spent childhood summers on Cushing's Island, the same
island she has depicted in her books with children having the same
adventures, making the same discoveries, and sharing the simple
pleasures of island life. Charlotte is an accomplished artist,
with undergraduate and graduate art degrees from Smith College. She
attended the Boston Museum School and Rhode Island School of Design. |
